Langasite – Langatate – Langanate
- Langasite - Lanthanum Gallium Silicate La3Ga5SiO14 (LGS)
- Langasite - Lanthanum Gallium Tantalate La3Ga5.5Ta0.5O14 (LGT)
- Langanate
We supply customized construction parts made of piezoelectric monocrystals such as Langatate, Langasite or Langanate to your specifications.
In 1979 one of the first langasite-related materials was developed in Russia by the so-called Czochralski method.
Piezoelectric materials are used to make sensors to measure temperature, force, pressure, torsion and humidity.
These sensors are used when ordinary sensors have reached their physical limits i.e. temperature over 400°C. Langasite, on the contrary, is a substrate material that can be exposed to high temperatures in the range of up to 1000°C and has a long-term resistance to high temperatures of up to 900°C. Russian researchers developed other monocrystals too, including Langatate La3Ga5.5Ta0.5TO14.
Langatate processed by Quarztechnik is ideal for a whole range of different application fields.
